Tide Now USA West is a comprehensive tide calculator designed for Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, and Hawaii. The app provides accurate tide calculations using internal data, eliminating the need for an internet connection.

• Tabs and Gestures

The app features a user-friendly tab bar interface that enhances navigation. Each tab is represented by distinct icons along the bottom, allowing for easy selection of desired functions. The active tab is clearly indicated by a blue tint.

• THE TIDE REPORT TAB

The "Tide Report" tab, located on the leftmost side, offers a choice between "Bright" and "Dark" display modes according to user settings. It presents comprehensive information such as location (station name) and state, regional details, geographic coordinates (Latitude and Longitude), as well as the date and time zone for the provided tide calculations.

Users can view the present tide height and its directional change through the NOW line. Additionally, the day's tide table is clearly displayed along with a tide graph illustrating tide variations throughout the day. The graph features sunrise and sunset times at the top and allows customization such as highlighting daylight hours in yellow on the bright graph. Tide heights are represented on the left side of the graph with corresponding times along the bottom. Notably, the current time is denoted by a red dashed line while high and low tides are marked by red dots on the graph.

The "Tide Report" tab offers convenient quick links and gestures for easy navigation like showing the Prior Day, Next Day, or returning to the present time with a single tap. Users can utilize gestures such as left swipe, right swipe, or long press for similar functions.

• THE LOCATION TAB

The "Location Tab" enables users to select their preferred location for tide information through an intuitive interface with scrolling wheels categorizing states, regions, and tide stations. Once a location is chosen, users can view detailed tide reports instantly or opt to visualize the location on a map by tapping the 'Show on Map' button.

• THE USER DATE TAB

Including a "User Date Tab," this feature allows users to input specific dates if planning activities ahead of time.

• THE SETTINGS TAB

The "Settings Tab" offers customization options such as choosing between Bright, Dark, or Auto Day/Night display modes, selecting time formats (AM/PM or military), enabling Daylight Hours Display on the tide graph, and controlling Graph Grid visibility for tailored preferences.

• THE SHORTCUTS TAB

With the "Shortcuts Tab," users can save up to six preferred tide stations for quick access. Long-pressing one of these buttons saves the current station while short-pressing recalls saved stations instantly on the Tide Report tab.
